FAQ

How much tile will I need?

We usually recommend adding 10% to 15% extra material to account for cuts, breakage, and pattern matching.

Do you need to waterproof this area?

Yes, wet areas like showers require explicit waterproofing membranes (such as Schluter or sheet membranes) before any thinset or tile goes up.

Can you tile directly over my old flooring?

It depends entirely on whether the existing layer is firmly bonded, flat, and structurally sound.

How long before I can walk on or use the new floor?

Most installations require at least 24 hours for the thinset mortar to cure before light foot traffic, and longer before heavy use or grouting

Why do my large-format tiles need leveling clips?

Clips help minimize "lippage" (uneven edges between adjacent tiles), though the substrate must still be flat beforehand.
